Applicants Sought for Economic Development Committee
Applicants are being sought to fill two vacancies on the City of Snohomish Economic Development Committee. The applications are due to the City Clerk's Office by 5:00 pm on Friday, December 11, 2020. Any applications received after that time will not be considered. Please apply online or contact Deputy City Clerk Brandi Whitson for application information.
The Snohomish Economic Development Committee is authorized pursuant to SMC 2.06.015 for the purposes of clarifying and interpreting the elements of the Economic Development Strategy; providing a forum for the coordination of information among entities identified as having economic development roles; recommending priorities and establishing a means to monitor progress on goals; and providing such other advice and guidance as is consistent with furthering the “Economic Development Strategy.” All City board and commission members are volunteers serving without compensation. The Board currently meets the fourth Wednesday of every month at 6 p.m.
The selected appointee's term will begin immediately upon City Council confirmation of the Mayor's appointment, and will fill the unexpired term through March 31, 2022.
