The Engineering Department is is responsible for community and infrastructure planning and has a staff
of ten. The Division personnel also regulate land use development by
implementing the policies and regulations established by City Council
and the State of Washington. The division coordinates permitting for new development and major
redevelopment. Division personnel review plans for conformance with planning, building code, engineering and
public works requirements and inspect new development and
construction.
