The Riverfront trail along First Street and Old Snohomish Monroe Rd at Lincoln Ave are currently closed due to flooding.

The Old Snohomish Monroe Rd is currently closed at First St and Lincoln Ave. 

The Riverfront Trail along First Street is closed from Avenue D to Cady Landing. 

National weather service has updated the flood forecast, the Snohomish River is expected to crest at 30.51 ft at 11 PM tonight and hold until early Saturday morning.

The trail will be closed through the weekend and is expected to re-open Monday after Public Works staff have an opportunity to inspect it. 

Even though the flooding is forecasted to be minor. Always: 

• Avoid flooded areas - even shallow water can be hazardous
• Do not walk, bike, or drive through standing water - just a few inches can be unpredictable 
• Use alternate routes - Follow posted signs and avoid closed trails or pathways 
• Stay Informed - Monitor local weather.

Applicants are being sought to fill open and expiring vacancies on the City of Snohomish Public Safety Board. Applications are due Friday, April 17th, by 4 PM.

The Public Safety Board acts in an advisory capacity and supports City Council goals and priorities on public safety issues. Community public safety matters include but are not limited to Neighborhood Watch program development, emergency preparedness, volunteer response training opportunities, pedestrian safety, and seasonal and emergent community safety issues. These efforts are supported by actively engaging and participating in community events and engagement.

Public Safety Board members are appointed by the Mayor subject to confirmation by the City Council. Board members must live within the City’s urban growth boundary. All City board and commission members are volunteers serving without compensation.

A Notice of Decision is issued today for the SAHG Development Site Development Plan (City File #SDP25-0037) at 1315 Bonneville Avenue to allow construction of an 8-unit low-income senior apartment structure on an approximately 0.17-acre site. A Site Development Plan Notice of Application is issued today for a 17.3-acre mixed-use development located at 2502-2540 Bickford Avenue and comprises seven apartment buildings with 294 total units and approximately 10,000 sf of commercial space in three structures.
