The Snohomish City Council must fill a vacant City Council position until the next municipal election in November 2021.

The successful candidate must be a registered voter of the City at the time of application and have been a resident of the City for a period of at least one year (RCW 35A.12.030).

Blackmans Lake is experiencing a potentially toxic bloom of blue-green algae.

COVID-19 Utility Support and Rent Relief Grant

Utility and Rent Assistance

City Council has implemented a Utility Support and Rent Relief Grant Program to assist residents financially impacted by COVID-19. The program is funded through the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Grant.

Eligible residents may apply for a one-time, not to exceed $500 non-refundable credit, either applied directly to the resident’s utility account or, if City utility costs are included in the resident’s rent payment, sent to their landl...

Grant Awards Announced

The City has announced 31 grants to local small businesses to offset necessary expenditures incurred with respect to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. A total of $108,000 of the City’s $306,000 allocation was used in this small business relief effort.
