[ARCHIVED] Peracetic Acid Disinfection System Shoreline Substantial Development Permit Notice of Application

Notice of Application for a Shoreline Substantial Development Permit to Transition the City's effluent disinfection at the Wastewater Treatment Plant from chlorination to Peracetic Acid (PAA). The project, located at 2115 Second Street, will add an 80 square foot chemical metering building with PAA dosing equipment, controls, required safety features and HVAC, electrical, lighting, and plumbing. A 200 square foot canopy structure is proposed for PAA containment.


The Shoreline Substantial Development Permit will be decided administratively and approved by the Planning Director if found to comply with all relevant development regulations. All persons have the right to comment on this application and to request a copy of the decision once made. Written comments on this notice may be submitted by 4 P.M. November 18, 2019, to the Planning and Development Services Department in person at City Hall, 116 Union Avenue, Snohomish, Washington or mailed to P.O. Box 1589, Snohomish, WA 98291.
