Second St and Maple Ave Traffic Signal Replacement

Project Purpose

The Second Street and Maple Avenue project will replace the intersection's southwest traffic signal pole that was damaged by a vehicle in 2024.

Project Objectives

New signal lights for vehicles and pedestrians, push buttons for pedestrian crossings, detection camera, and street sign are included in the project.

Project Timeline

The project was advertised for bids on May 26, 2026, with bid opening on June 17, 2025. Construction is anticipated to begin at the end of July and finish early August 2025.

1. Will the intersection be shut down?

The intersection is not proposed to be closed, and traffic control will be utilized to setup the new pole.

2. Will there be traffic delays?

There will be slight delays during the installation of the pole and configuration of electrical instrumentation.
