Public Works Streets and Stormwater crews are regularly using a street sweeper to ensure our roads are clear of debris, leaf litter, trash, and other sediments. The City's sweeping schedule includes one set day a week to go along one of four routes. By the end of each month, all public streets are swept. The sweeping schedule may be adjusted in case of heavy rain, strong wings, snow, crew availability, and other unforeseeable events.

Starting approximately in mid-October each year, crews will increase sweeping to two days a week, where the second day is focused on areas with more debris and leaves. You can help make street sweeping more efficient by taking the following actions:
- Dispose of yard leaves in a yard waste container or use alternative methods to managing leaf litter
- Do not pile leaves on the street, since sweepers cannot get through piles effectively
- Do not blow leaves from private property onto the street. This causes storm drain backups, flooding, and limits sweeper efficiency
- On the day of your scheduled route, move cars away from the curb if possible
- Do not park over storm grates
