Project Overview
An ADA transition plan is one of the federally mandated requirements for state and local governments under Title II of the ADA. The City of Snohomish ADA Right-of-Way Transition Plan was approved by City Council in 2024.
This plan focuses on pedestrian facilities in the public right-of-way including curb ramps, sidewalks, crosswalks, and signal push buttons. Through the development of this plan, the City of Snohomish has inventoried existing pedestrian facilities, identified barriers and obstacles that limit accessibility, and determined criteria for prioritizing barrier removal.
