During your travels through Snohomish in the coming months, you may notice someone measuring sidewalks, curb ramps, and other pedestrian facilities in the City.
The City has contracted with Transpo Group USA, Inc. to inventory and inspect the City’s pedestrian facilities. This is the first step in the City’s development of an ADA transition plan which will identify barriers in the Public Right-of-Way that limit accessibility, determine criteria for the prioritization of barrier removal, develop a schedule for the removal of obstacles and determine costs. The Plan is a requirement of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
Please contact the City of Snohomish project manager for the ADA Transition Plan: Cory Morton, Project Engineer at 360-282-3196, or at morton@snohomishwa.gov if you have any questions.
