The Snohomish Carnegie Building . . . where community comes together. 

Located at 105 Cedar Ave in the heart of historic downtown Snohomish, the 1910 landmark features dramatic interior and exterior architecture, and a plaza for expansion of events to the outdoors. The Snohomish Carnegie Building is registered with the Washington State and National Register of Historic Places.

Reservations

Reservations for use of the Snohomish Carnegie Building are required and offered on a first come, first served basis with a maximum of one-year advanced reservation. Rentals must be reserved a minimum of 90 days before the start of the proposed event.

For reservations requested 21 days or less before the proposed event date, the City will consider “last minute” reservations based on the size and nature of the event and staff availability for scheduling and coordination. Exceptions may be made at the discretion of City staff at the applicable daily or hourly rate. Payment will be due in full at the time of reservation and no refunds are available, including rental payments or deposits and damage, cleaning or key deposits.

Open Houses

The upper floor of the Snohomish Carnegie Building will be open for docent-led tours, hosted by volunteers from the Snohomish Carnegie Foundation, during the following days and times:

Snohomish Carnegie Building Rental Fees

Tangible benefits can be assigned a monetary value, or other specific metrics. Example: HDSA Zombie Walk to benefit Community Food Bank. Food can be measured by weight, coats/socks/gloves can be counted, monetary donations can also be counted. Non-profit is defined as a 501(c)(3) as defined by RCW 24.03 and the Internal Revenue Code.

Public Service Use, Government Agency Use $50.00 per hour (3-hour minimum) $65.00 per hour (6-hour minimum) $850.00 Saturday: 8:00am - 10:00pm Events that are:
1. Not open to public such as meeting, training, etc., or
2. Open to the public but with a cost associated to participate, or
3. Open to the public with no fee associated to participate but proceeds do not provide a tangible benefit a non-profit organization within the City of Snohomish, or
4. Provides a tangible benefit to a non-profit organization outside the City of Snohomish.
Intangible benefits are those that are not physical or monetary in nature, are difficult to quantify or measure, and cannot be consistently measured or solely attributed directly to the project/program/event. The benefits ascribable cannot be reported for formal accounting purposes. Example: An awareness raising film event or presentation, application of behavioral recommendations. Non-profit is defined as a 501(c)(3) as defined by RCW 24.03 and the Internal Revenue Code.

Private Use $75.00 per hour (3-hour minimum) $85.00 per hour (6 hour minimum) $1,100.00 Saturday: 8:00am - 10:00pm Applies to activities sponsored by organization(s) and individual(s) that do not qualify for City or Public Service/Government rates

Recurring Event $50.00 per hour (3-hour minimum $65.00 per hour (6-hour minimum) $850.00 Saturday: 8:00am - 10:00pm Educational or cultural benefit in nature: Reservation holders requesting recurring rentals or reduced fees, beyond what is identified in the rental/fee schedule, must enter into a written agreement with the City and must clearly demonstrate the community benefit to reasonably compensate the City for the Snohomish Carnegie use in this manner. At the discretion of City Staff.

    Rental facilities within the City of Snohomish are provided for use by public. The terms and conditions of the Facility Use Application, Facility Use Policy and the rental fees have been set to protect and maintain the facility.
